Raleigh County Library director Amy Stover stuffling early literacy bags that will be given to Raleigh General Hospital maternity ward. Stover said, they will deliver 150 bags with each bag containing the Good Night Moon book, appplication cards for the whole family, informtion about Imagination Library Program, times they can visit their three county libraries in Beckley, Shady Spring and Sophia and informtion about children receiving one book a month in the mail until they reach the age of 5. The library is celebrating National Library Week and will be celebrated April 3-9. The week is set aside to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide. The theme for 2022 is Connect With Your Library. National Library Week was first celebrated in 1958.
