Charleston artist Ian Bode works on a piece conveniently named "Chocolate Festival" during Saturday afternoon's festivities. It was a depiction of downtown Lewisburg during the height of 8th annual event, featuring mayor John Manchester in the middle dressed as Willy Wonka and chocolate gushing from hydrants, buildings and around corners, which turned out to be pretty accurate. Bode was fashioning the piece in the same style as "The Passenger," a look that he's known for in the local art world. Starting at 8 a.m. and working until the early evening when the festival began to wind down, Bode said he probably wouldn't be completely finished until the next day.
