Musicians play on instruments known as bowed psalteries during the 5th annual Bowed Psaltery Symphony for Sunday @ Two at Tamarack yesterday afternoon. Not commonly known of today, the psaltery was the stringed instrument of choice during ancient and medieval times. The 48-member orchestra was made up almost entirely of different types of these bowed psalteries, save for a violin, bongo, harp and acoustic guitar to compliment the collective sound.
