82-year-old quilter Sadie Handyside shows off the tedious hand-stitching style she uses to make her creations outside of her High Circle Drive home near Oak Hill Friday afternoon. Her technique is a rarely used one by many of today's quilters. The results are elements of the quilt that appear to be glued on, but a closer look reveals that each little piece was hand-stitched. A quilt made in this way takes Handyside up to two years to finish.
