The Derby Dames have been hosting the West Virginia All-Stars practices every Sunday here in Beckley, and many of their members are on the team along with skaters from other teams in the state such as the Greenbrier Roller Vixens, Morgantown Roller Vixens, Heart of Appalachia Roller Derby and the Chemical Valley Roller Girls. They're preparing for the Battle of the All-Stars States Tournament in Hatfield, Pennsylvania just North of Philadelphia where they'll be one of 10 teams competing for nationwide bragging rights. The tournament runs from February 6th through the 8th and the team will practice at MacArthur Skating Rink every Sunday until then.
