A pair of 1/24 scale modified stock cars whip around a turn on the Dirt Slotz race track Saturday night at it's 1010 Dry Hill Road location. This isn't slot car racing on that toy set you got for Christmas as a child. It's easy and inexpensive enough for both kids and adults, but does require some practice to get your timing and touch down. The slick characteristics of a dirt track make for drift-style racing like you'll see at Beckley Motor Speedway, meaning it can be easy to go too fast and spin your car, or even make contact with and spin other drivers when racing side-by-side. Here the #5 car, driven by 13-year-old Chase Evans, runs right on that fine line between a perfect turn and a spinout.
