The John Henry monument stands tall in front of the historic Great Bend Tunnel as Virginia residents James and Yolanda Howard look it over as they walk by during the John Henry Days festival Saturday in Talcott. The annual Grand Parade, a massive cornhole tournament and live entertainment were all part of the second day of festivities celebrating the steel driving legend. A third day of festivities continues today with an auto show and other activities around the historic town.
