Longtime beekeeper Russell Compton prepares to look over the 19 different colonies of honeybees that reside in box hives at his Mossy home Thursday afternoon. For over 60 years Compton's been at it, raising bees and collecting honey while helping family and friends around the area start and maintain their own honeybee colonies.
