Beckley resident Tim Martin unloads a brand new bicycle from the back of his truck to donate to Mountaineer Mitsubishi as enthusiastic sales manager Darrell Blackburn, dressed as a cheerleader, hangs out on the roof of the Eisenhower Drive dealership during what was called a "bike-a-thon" Friday afternoon. Mountaineer Automotive teamed up with the Beckley Board of Realtors and WJLS 99.5 FM for the event, which solicited donations of toys and coats along with bikes for the upcoming Mac's Toy Fund throughout the day with the goal of filling up an entire box truck with donations. Blackburn, for his part, wouldn't come down from the roof until that happened. He spent the day atop the building waving Mitsubishi flags, occasionally howling like a dog and wearing different costumes, which included a turkey and a ninja. Mountaineer also donated a bike themselves for every vehicle sold yesterday.
