Troop 3 Beckley Scouts Chad Ney (middle with flags) and his brother Carter, right, prepare to place American flags bearing the names of veterans past and present in designated places as they prepare what's called a healing field Saturday morning in the front lawn of the Raleigh County Veterans Museum. Fellow scouts Pierson Lintala (background far left) and Andrew Barbera carefully measure the rows to ensure even spacing for each flag. For the second year in a row, the museum is holding a Veteran's Day event where any friend or family member of a veteran can purchase a flag for $5 in honor of, or in memory of that veteran. In honor of those still with us today and in memory for those who've passed, either in service or later in life. Flags are still available for anyone interested.
