Read MoreSmoke billows from a burned out utility trailer as Beaver Volunteer firefighters cut away sections with a circular saw to reach areas still burning Wednesday night along the Westbound lanes of Interstate 64 just past the Eisenhower Drive exit. The trailer belonged to FDH Velocitel, a company that builds and maintains broadcast and wireless towers, and was full of everything from electronic gear and antennas to winter clothing and climbing gear when it went up. The driver, Benjamin Ice, was hauling the trailer in a Ford pickup heading westbound towards the split with two other co-workers when he said another motorist drove up beside him and alerted them to the fire. The three then pulled off into the emergency lane, tried to use fire extinguishers they had in the truck, but the trailer was too fully engulfed for them to do any good.
