(Brad Davis/The Register-Herald) Sophia resident Bill Wood hoists Lucky, his nine-month-old husky and German shepherd mix, up onto the tailgate so Robert Howerton, a vet's assistant with Beckley Veterinary Hospital, can give him any required vaccines needed at the traveling Raleigh County Anti Rabies Clinic Saturday afternoon in the Sophia city parking lot. The Raleigh County Assessor's office will travel to towns all over the county for the next week and a half from Monday through Saturday offering a variety of vaccines at the cost of only the vaccines, which can save hundreds of dollars. Go to http://www.raleighcountyassessor.com or call 304-255-9178 for when they'll be in your area.
