(Brad Davis/The Register-Herald) Volunteers assemble a garden of flowers symbolizing attendees' involvement in the battle against Alzheimer's disease while the teams walk during the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's event Saturday morning at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. Participants had four different colors of flower to choose from based on their personal experience with the disease. Yellow represents caregivers and supporters of loved ones who have it. Blue represents those currently diagnosed with it, orange stands for supporters of the cause to eliminate the disease and purple represents those who have lost loved ones to Alzheimer's.
