Susan Sanderson smells an onion before buying it from farmer Kenneth Meadows on the first day of the Uptown Farmers Market at the Beckley Intermodal Gateway Plaza Monday. Market vendors will set up at the plaza area Mondays, Wednesday's and Friday's from 3pm to 5:30pm through September. The Raleigh County Commission on Aging and WIC provide coupons that can be redeemed at the market to seniors and women and children.
