Manchin visits

Regional Coordinator for Sen. Joe Manchin’s office Ben Spurlock visits with seniors and city government at the Summers County Council on Aging in Hinton Friday. This was the fifth stop of a 55 county tour traveling to senior centers throughout the state to inform citizens on the healthcare provisions that have been passed and to get feedback from communities on their needs. Executive Director of the Summers County Council on Aging Cindy Garrett said, “It’s great what the governor’s office has done, but there’s a lot that we do here to provide services for the seniors and we need funding to continue to do that. I hope he keeps that in mind and passes that on to the ones that would provide that funding.”
